What is RollXchange?

RollXchange is available to U.S. and Canadian based Fasson Roll North America customers who have accepted the terms of the RollXchange Membership Agreement. RollXchange Membership Agreement.

What is the RollXchange Membership Agreement?

The RollXchange Membership Agreement governs all transactions conducted on RollXchange. It describes the rights and responsibilities of the buyers, the sellers, and RollXchange. All RollXchange users are required to comply with and accept the terms of the RollXchange Membership Agreement.



Registration/Personal Information

How do I register?

It's easy to register with RollXchange. Simply complete the online registration form and submit it. After verification of the information provided, your RollXchange account is created and an email with log in instructions is sent to you.

What is my customer ID number?

Your customer ID number is the number used by Fasson Roll North America (FRNA) to identify your company. Your customer ID number can be found on FRNA's order acknowledgements and invoices under the header "Customer."

What if I forget my password?

Just send RollXchange a password request, and you'll receive a new password by email within 24 hours. You'll need the current user name and email address you use with RollXchange. If you've forgotten that user name or email address, simply contact RollXchange Customer Support for prompt assistance.

How do I let RollXchange know about changes in my email, phone, address, etc.?

You can update your personal information at any time. Log on to RollXchange and click on "My Account" from the menu bar, then select "My Profile."



Buying on RollXchange

How do I buy on RollXchange?

To buy surplus roll materials on RollXchange, you first need to become a registered user. Once registered, log on using your RollXchange user name and password. From the menu bar, click on "Search & Buy." You'll be able to browse the listings and select the products you want by clicking on "Add to Cart." Follow the easy onscreen step-by-step process to review and submit your order. You'll receive an emailed confirmation of your order. The terms of the RollXchange Membership Agreement apply to all materials purchased on RollXchange.

What happens after I place an order?

You'll receive an emailed order confirmation listing the item(s) purchased, the names of the seller(s) and the ship-from location(s). The seller(s) are notified of the order and instructed to ship the material within 24 hours (72 hours for reslit/rewind materials). Upon notification of an accepted order, RollXchange will invoice you for the sale price of the items plus shipping and handling charges as well as any applicable reslit/rewind charges or taxes.

How do I find a product?

After logging on to RollXchange, click on "Search & Buy" from the menu bar. If you know exactly which product you're looking for, use the "Quick Search" option to search by supplier product. To find a broader range of products, use the "Category Search" option to search by product attributes.Keep in mind the more search attributes you enter the faster your results appear onscreen! Another way to find the products you need is to take advantage of RollXchange's Wish List feature.

What is a "Wish List"?

The Wish List lets you find the products you're looking for faster. Tell us the product specification number and supplier names you're interested in, and we'll send you email notifications when items matching your personalized Wish List are listed on RollXchange. The wish list is a great time saver!

What does "Flag" mean?

The Flag indicator, located on the Search Results page, tells you whether an item is newly listed ("N") or can be reslit/rewound ("R".)

What is "Lot Only"?

If an item is listed as Lot Only, the buyer must accept the total quantity shown in "# Rolls Available" and cannot buy partial quantity.

What is "Reslit/Rewind"?

If an item's listing shows "Reslit/Rewind Available," the seller agrees to rework the item to meet the buyer's size modifications (e.g., width, length, rewind). The seller may have reslit/rewind restrictions, however. The buyer pays a US$.03/msi charge for reslit/rewind materials, and the seller has three additional days to complete the rework and to ship the material.

What are RollXchange's shipping and handling charges?

RollXchange's shipping and handling charges are US$.055/msi, regardless of the ship-from or ship-to locations. All materials sold on RollXchange are shipped freight prepaid by Fasson Roll North America and invoiced to the buyer.

What is "Maratech B-grade" material?

Maratech B-grade material is material that did not meet A-grade specification. Material may be defined as B-grade for various reasons, such as telescoping, dry or yellow edges, adhesive voids, poor release and coat weight variations. All Maratech B-grade material has been converted and quality control tested to remove visible defects.

What is a "Certificate of Analysis"?

A Certificate of Analysis is a document showing product test data (standard and/or actual). Typical data includes adhesive coat weight and/or release levels. The product test data comes from the original product manufacturer. Buyers may request a copy of the Certificate of Analysis (if available from seller), and the seller is responsible for including the document when shipping the order.



Selling on RollXchange

How do I sell on RollXchange?

To sell surplus roll materials on RollXchange, you first need to become a registered user. Once registered, log on using your RollXchange user name and password. From the menu bar, click on "Sell," select "Post Item," then follow the easy step-by-step instructions. Your postings, which are listed for 60 days, are immediately available to all RollXchange buyers. You can view or update your posted items at any time. The terms of the RollXchange Membership Agreement apply to all materials sold on RollXchange.

Are there fees when I sell an item on RollXchange?

RollXchange charges sellers a transaction fee equal to twenty percent (20%) of the invoice price less shipping and handling charges. The transaction fee is deducted from the value of the redeemable Fasson Dollars you receive from your sale. See the RollXchange Membership Agreement for details.

What are Fasson Dollars?

For each sale, RollXchange will email you Fasson Dollars that can be redeemed for future purchases of any Fasson products from Fasson Roll North America. Fasson Dollars cannot be redeemed for products sold through the RollXchange. Fasson Dollars expire after six months from issuance. See the RollXchange Membership Agreement for details.

What happens when my posted item is sold?

You'll receive an email that notifies you that an item has been sold and provides detailed shipping instructions. The items shipped must comply with RollXchange's packaging standards. You must contact USF Corporation (the only official RollXchange carrier) promptly to ensure shipment of the order within 24 hours of the sale (72 hours for reslit/rewound items). Following confirmation of the shipment, RollXchange emails you Fasson Dollars equal to the sale price of the items less the RollXchange transaction fee. As a seller, you are expected to review your email at least twice during each business day.

What are RollXchange's Packaging Standards?

Sold Assets must comply with the following packaging standards:
. EXCELLENT VISUAL APPEARANCE
. NO ROLLS SHOULD OVERHANG EDGE OF PALLET ON ANY SIDE
. HEIGHT OF ROLLS NOT TO EXCEED 45 inches
. ROLL LABELS IN LINE, FACING ENTRANCE SIDE OF PALLET
. ROLLS SNUG AND TOUCHING, NO GAPS
. SHRINK WRAP TIGHT TO PALLET
. WHEN STRETCH WRAPPING, BE CAREFUL TO APPLY SUFFICIENT WRAP AT THE   BOTTOM OF THE STACKS AND AROUND THE PALLETS TO SECURE THE LOAD TO THE
  PALLETS.IF THE LOAD IS NOT SECURED THIS WAY, IT MUST BE BANDED
. DON'T HEAT SHRINK DIRECT THERMAL PRODUCTS

What happens if my posted item does not sell?

After 60 days, posted items expire and the listings are no longer viewable by buyers. You'll receive an email that notifies you an item has expired and provides detailed instructions on recycling, re-posting or removing the listing.

How do I update (such as changing the status or deleting) my posted item?

You can update your postings at any time. After logging in to RollXchange, click on "Sell," from the menu bar, then select "View/Update Postings." Your can:
  • Re-post the item - change the item's information (pricing, size, quantity, etc.) and re-post it as a new posting. The new posting appears for 60 days.
  • Recycle the item - make the item available only to a recycler (buyers can no longer view the listing). The listing appears for 30 days.
  • Remove the item - permanently delete the item from RollXchange.

    What happens when I opt to "recycle" my posted items?

    Recycled items remain posted for 30 days, and can only be viewed by a recycler during that time. A recycler may contact you to negotiate pricing. After you and the recycler reach an agreement, update the price on the posting so the recycler can complete the purchase. Recycled items not sold after 30 days are permanently removed from RollXchange.
